Product Spotlight - The KwickScreen Pro
Our flagship product: the KwickScreen Pro has gone through several rounds of redesign to give the finished unit that we offer today.
The Pro is our mobile single retractable screen that can extend up to 3 metres. This screen provides a huge level of flexibility for healthcare spaces given it is not limited to curtain tracks and can be deployed rapidly anywhere in the hospital, including areas of a hospital not suitable for curtains. In addition, given its mobility, it can be transported around the hospital by a single person as and when needed. When not in use, the screen can retract minimising the storage space it requires.
Given its versatility and flexibility, the KwickScreen Pro has been used in a range of departments for a range of purposes in and out of healthcare spaces.
Uses of the Pro in Healthcare Spaces
Emergency Rooms
KwickScreens are designed to meet the unique demands of high-traffic, fast-moving Emergency Rooms. Complementary prints from our Collections can be paired together to spruce up your room.
Vaccination and Blood Donation
Our Pro can be used to create pop-up, mobile cubicles specifically for vaccination and blood donation. We have provided hundreds of screens to Canadian Blood Services to allow for blood donation pop-ups across Canada.
Paediatrics
KwickScreens make the hospital environment safer and kinder for children. Child-friendly artwork brightens healthcare spaces and reduces anxiety for young patients.
Infusion/Oncology
Creating the right environment is crucial in an infusion centre as the patient remains seated for hours during the procedure. The Pro provides privacy and dignity whenever patients require it.
Simulation Training
We print simulation scenes onto KwickScreens to create a life-like and cost-effective training environment for medical students. We can replicate anything from familiar clinical surroundings to less predictable emergency settings. You can choose from our existing library of images or use images of your own specific environment. One example are the units we designed for Bucks University Hospital to separate the operating theatre from the anaesthetic room using images of realistic clinical settings.
Care Homes
Images of peaceful sceneries allow patients to ‘escape’ from the stressful hospital environments. Our artwork has helped with the mental well-being of patients in care homes.
Ward
One popular use is replacing hospital curtains to divide beds in wards. Pros are a novel privacy solution that are easy to clean. Using biophilic designs, i.e. images of nature, helps reduce the stress of staff, patients and visitors alike. As the Pro is mobile, it can be adapted to meet the everchanging needs of a ward, for example if there is overflow.
