KwickScreen 2022: A Year in Review

Wow, what a year 2022 has been! We would like to start by saying how grateful we are for all of your support this year and beyond - it doesn’t go unnoticed. We would also like to thank all of the healthcare staff who work tirelessly to look after our most ill and vulnerable all year round. You are all heroes!

Like so many, we have had our ups and downs, however, we want to take the time to reflect on the positives of this year as we head into the new year. Here are our top 7 highlights from 2022:

  1. We moved to our new space in Lewisham

This year saw us move across London from Alperton to Lewisham. Our new space is made up of three floors: the production factory on the first floor, the R&D workshop on the second floor and the office and showroom on the third floor. We love having our factory, R&D and office spaces in the same building to create a community atmosphere where we can all learn from each other.

  2. We launched our new product - WindowSwitch!

WindowSwitch is a switchable film retrofitted to glass that can change windows from transparent to opaque at the flick of a switch. It replaces curtains and blinds which are hard to clean and accumulate harmful microbes. WindowSwitch has already been installed in four NHS hospitals to provide flexible, hygienic spaces, and we have more installs ready to go in the new year.

  3. We ranked 12th on the FEBE Growth 100

The annual FEBE Growth list highlights the fastest-growing privately-owned businesses in the UK. We were extremely proud to feature on this list, never mind ranking 12th out of 100 companies. Our team works so hard to drive our mission of creating more sustainable and hygienic healthcare spaces, and gaining recognition for this was such a great feeling.

  4. We featured on BBC News

Having been part of the multi-million pound refurbishment of William Harvey Hospital and QEQM Hospital in East Kent, our shields, wall art and WindowSwitch featured in a BBC News article. It was wonderful to hear staff stating that the revamp, using our products, would help provide their patients with “privacy and dignity” and help the staff with the “flow and the demand” of their emergency department.

  5. Two of our Future Leaders have Graduated from the Programme

Barney and Callum, the first two graduates to join our 2-year Future Leaders Program, have finished their rotations around different departments of the business and have settled into their long-term roles. It has been great to see the progress Barney and Callum have made throughout the program. They are now using everything they have learnt in their new senior positions. Take a look at our careers page to learn more about this program.

  6. We have attended some amazing Trade Shows

We have met so many of you at trade shows across the world this year. Highlights for us have been Medica in Germany, Healthcare Design in the US and Healthcare Estates in Manchester, UK. Exhibiting our products at these shows is so important to us as we get to build impactful relationships, collect feedback on our products and hear about what really matters to our customers.

  7. We have been working towards some very exciting projects

In addition to supplying our screens to new and long-standing customers across the world, we have been working hard on a couple of new projects behind the scenes. Be sure to keep an eye on our social media in the new year as we have some super exciting announcements to make and you’re most definitely not going to want to miss them.

Let’s hope 2023 provides more wonderful memories for us and you! Here is to a happy, healthy and successful new year!
